POSITION: Windows Systems Administrator – Senior
LOCATION: Fairfield, CA
SCOPE: Serves as a Systems Administrator on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Army
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs advanced systems administration including Active Directory and Domain administration and configuration.
- Performs optimization, troubleshooting, monitoring, patching, and support of on-premise Windows Server enterprise.
- Performs optimization, troubleshooting, monitoring, and support of Cloud-based Windows Server enterprise.
- Resolves intermediate and advanced issues associated with system configuration management, resource sharing and networking; conducts troubleshooting and problem identification.
- Manages system security including accounts, access controls, and group policies; applies NIST RMF security controls and DoD STIGs; maintains system security baselines.
- Develops, implements, and manages VMware virtual server environment.
- Manages and maintains web infrastructure including IIS, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Manages production environments using automated tools and procedures to install, build and deploy systems; monitor and enforce configuration management; monitor application performance and security; and perform system backups and restores.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience and/or specialized training/certifications may be substituted for education.
- Education or certification must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Forensics/Security, etc.).
- Experience using and writing operating system commands and scripts, and using scripting languages including Powershell.
- Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning and bottleneck resolution, administration of Microsoft Servers, building and maintaining high-availability, clustered and scalable systems.
- Experience/exposure to managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure services and servers (e.g., Azure) is desirable.
- Must possess current Security+ (or equivalent DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT II).
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active DoD Secret Clearance
SALARY (Based on level of experience and expertise): $100K – $130K
