POSITION: Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM) Subject Matter Expert
LOCATION: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
SCOPE: Serves as a Systems Administrator and MCM Subject Matter Expert on a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at the Aberdeen Test Center (ATC).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engineering, configuration, and troubleshooting the MCM services, including:
- Application Deployment
- Deployment package creation and troubleshooting
- Developing and implementing administrative and security policies
- Monitoring and evaluating systems performance and availability
- Tier II/III support for issues related to MCM
- Applying expertise in related integrating technologies, including:
- Group Policy
- Scripting
- Vulnerability patching
- Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance/hardening
- Applying expertise in enterprise Systems Administration to secure environments including
- Windows Server 2019
- Backup and Storage
- Active Directory
- Account management
- Access control management
- Domain configuration
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Enterprise level MCM systems administration including troubleshooting and monitoring
- Experience in resolving complex issues associated with configuration management. resource sharing and basic networking troubleshooting and problem identification.
- Understanding and/or experience with vulnerability management and mitigation practices
- Experience developing scripts, and scripting languages, including one or more of Bash, Powershell, Python, Ruby, and/or Perl.
- Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning and bottleneck resolution,
- Experience managing or working with Windows Server and hybrid environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years’ experience, Associate’s Degree and 11 years’ experience, or combination of 13 years which may include education/specialized training/certifications and/or experience.
- Relevant education or certification must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Forensics/Security, etc.).
- Must possess current Security+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II) and at least (1) relevant Computing Environment certification (can be obtained within 6 months of hire)
