Position Title: Supply Technician II
Security Clearance (Required): Secret (Deal Breaker)
Certifications (Required): None.
Position Description:
- Requires experience working in a warehouse or in a logistics or supply related discipline.
- Requires experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Performs a variety of related tasks involving receiving, storage, issue, and accountability of managed items.
- Coordinates and expedites the movements of managed items and materials, both on post and from outside sources.
- Performs warehousing duties in accordance with prescribed storage plans.
- Receives, stores, and issues materials and supplies from supply resources.
- Verifies materials against receiving documentation. Notes and reports discrepancies and damage.
- Routes materials to Government furnished to prescribed locations, coordinating any transportation requirements.
- Follows established procedures to ensure that all materials are stored safely and securely. Is required to: Store, stack, or palletize materials.
- Examine stored materials periodically and report deterioration and damage.
- Performs inventories of stored and/or hand-receipted materials as directed.
- Identifies condition of inventoried items, to be used in survey action assessment. Recommends survey of broken or unusable items.
- Reports any evidence of loss, damage, or destruction of Government property to supervisor.
- Prepares items for shipment and ensures appropriate and effective packing of same in conjunction with coordinating transport.
- Operates Government furnished hand and/or power trucks as necessary to perform warehousing tasks.
- Operates personal computers, typewriters, and calculators to maintain and/or establish inventory and shipping/receiving records.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- Perform other duties as required, which may include:
- Accomplishing assigned tasks in closely related fields
- Responding to changes in work schedules and/or locations
- Supporting other sections on the ITSS contract
- Participating in formal, on-the-job, and cross-training
Required Education and Experience:
Must possess at a minimum a High School diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience working in a warehouse. May be required to possess a Class A CDL.
