Position: Asset Management Lead

Location: On-Site w/Customer at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama 35898

Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance

Certifications: IAT Level II certification required per DoDM 8140.03

Scope: Serves as Asset Management Lead on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Army. Performs the following asset management functions in accordance with (IAW) applicable Army regulations and PAE Fires policies/guidance by adhering to: AR 710-1, Centralized Inventory Management of the Army Supply System; AR 710-2, Supply Policy Below the National Level; AR 710-3, Inventory Management Asset and Transaction Reporting System; DA PAM 735-5, Property Accountability: Financial Liability Officer’s Guide; AR 735-5, Property Accountability: Policies and Procedures for Property Accountability; AR 25-1, Information Management: Army Information Technology; and AR 71-32, Force Development and Documentation Consolidated Policies and the PAR Fires Property SOP.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Asset Accountability: Provides dedicated on-site Asset Management, performing all inventory, receiving, tracking, and transport functions IAW applicable Army regulations to manage a high-volume daily workload across 11,400+ items with a value over $5.5M.
  • Optimize asset utilization and lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate with the Installation Property Book Office for input into the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) for required equipment items valued over the $500 threshold and for other equipment, if required by Army Regulations.
  • Manage all durable and expendable equipment over the $500 threshold and ensure all IT equipment is input and tracked in the Auto Scan Tracking System (ASTS) database maintained internally by PAE Fires.
  • Receives equipment, verifies accuracy of delivery, and documents/inputs information in the ASTS and DPAS databases.
  • Applies appropriate barcodes to equipment, stores equipment in designated locations, and transports equipment to appropriate users.
  • Prepares required documents and paperwork regarding newly purchased items, the transfer of items, the transport of property to another location, and turn-in/disposal of existing property.
  • Conducts monthly 100% Sensitive Item Inventories and at other times as required by the Government. Additionally, conducts 25% quarterly property inventories and a 100% inventory annually.
  • Cross-trained in Service Desk Equipment Support to coordinate hardware deployments and track equipment moves/adds/changes in conjunction with Desktop Support/Field Technicians. Creates a seamless handoff between asset accountability and end-user provisioning, allowing for real-time ASTS/DPAS record updates from the field and preventing discrepancies between property books and deployed assets.

 

Required Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of asset management or IT logistics experience
  • IT hardware inventory management, shipping/receiving, and logistics tracking; experience using DoD property accountability systems (e.g., DPAS, ASTS) and adhering to AR 710-series regulations.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, IT, or related field.
