On December 1, 2014, Caelum Research Corporation of Rockville, MD was awarded a three-year contract to provide Data Collection Support Services (DCSS) in support of the Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC). Work will be performed at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland with an estimated completion date of December 31, 2017. Caelum will support ATC Test and Evaluation (T&E) by providing data collection and coordination; data compilation, transcription/processing, review and reporting test monitoring, technical writing and editorial review, and range scheduling support on a wide variety of automotive, combat, electronic, general equipment, and ordnance materiel undergoing extensive testing. The value of this contract, to include all options, is about $54.7 million.
GSA Integrated Award Environment Technical Governance Task Order
On September 23, the General Services Administration (GSA) awarded Caelum Research Corporation of Rockville, MD the Integrated Award Environment (IAE) Technical Governance task order (TO) through the Alliant Small Business contract vehicle. This task will assist the IAE Program Management Office in technical governance, support system development, integration, and related program management support services. The value of this TO is about $9 million.
This support will ensure that the Government is implementing an architecture that fully leverages user centric design, Agile development, data transparency, open source, open APIs, rigorous testing, proper security protocols, and managed code hand-offs. Caelum is teamed with Robbins Gioia to provide the services.
New NOAALink Contract Award
On September 19, Caelum was awarded a new Task Order through NOAALink contract: “Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS) Data Delivery Support”. The contract is to provide engineering and project management support to the National Weather Service (NWS) AWIPS Program for development, testing and deployment of the AWIPS Data Delivery functionality.

Headquarter Moved
Caelum HQ has moved to 30 West Gude Drive, Rockville, MD 20850-1177. The new location, only about 1.5 miles from our previous office in Rockville, offers newer, better, and more efficient/open space for the HQ operations. During this period, Caelum also moved its corporate email and timecard systems from the in-house servers to the Cloud.
NOAA task order awarded
Caelum awarded NOAA Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) Data Management and Communication (DMAC) task order. In partnership with our subcontractor, Skjei Telecom, we provide systems engineering and technical coordination support to the NOAA IOOS Program Office in Silver Spring, MD.
New Office in Huntsville, AL
Caelum opened a local office in Huntsville, AL to provide corporate support to our Huntsville staff and customers. The facility is located at 7501 Memorial Parkway SW, Suite 215, Huntsville, AL 35802-2204
IMMS Contract for US Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command
Caelum was awarded the Information Management Support Services (IMSS) contract for the US Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM LCMC) CIO/G-6. Caelum, along with our subcontractor Jacobs Technology Inc., will provide a full range of Information Management (IM) support services to satisfy enterprise missions, goals, and objectives in the areas of Information Technology (IT) Strategic and Capital Planning; Business Process Management and Re-engineering; Business Analysis; Technical Data Package (TDP) Operation; Development of Service Level Agreements; Technical Writing/Editing; IT Asset Management; IM Project/Planning; Office Automation; Presentation/Exhibit Development; and Content Management; support. This support will be provided onsite at the Redstone Arsenal and several other satellite facilities. It is anticipated that the total staffing for the contract can be up to 100 full-time employees.
Caelum conducted our annual awards ceremony/luncheons in Michigan and Maryland. Performance recognition awards were handed out to employees who exemplify Caelum’s corporate values of Integrity, Teamwork, Innovation, and Quality. The well attended events demonstrated Caelum’s appreciation for their employees and the excellent support they provide their customers.
ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 Certification
Caelum received ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 (IT Service Management System – ITSM) certification from 3rd party registrar, BSI. This represents a continuation of our previous ITSM certification originally registered January 2010 and demonstrates our continued commitment to quality improvements and total customer satisfaction.
Caelum participated at the NOAALink Expo 2013 in Silver Spring, MD. The Caelum attendees included Dr. Michael Yeh, James Bauer, George Hechtman, Steve Holt, and Hussain Jabapurwala. Caelum showcased its corporate capabilities, introduced our partners, and took advantage of meeting current and potential customers along with other professionals in the industry.
