POSITION: Program Manager

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

SCOPE: Serves as a Program Manager on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Army

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide input to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for program control, status monitoring, and reporting purposes to identify program milestones, major tasks, efforts, dependencies, risks, resources, and activities across prime and subcontractor efforts
  • Plan and lead formal reviews and produce meeting minutes including Weekly Activity Reports, Management Systems Reviews, and Integrated Baseline Reviews
  • Conduct Quarterly Progress Reviews (QPRs) and Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) and maintain meeting minutes
  • Establish and sustain the Program Management Plan (PMP), Program Calendar, and Conference/Event Schedule for all task orders
  • Lead Quality Assurance per the QASP by ensuring deliverables are released under configuration control, fully traceable, and meet Section 508 functional performance criteria
  • Implement a Risk Management Plan to identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical, security, cost, and schedule risks
  • Coordinate stakeholder communications with PCO/CAO/COR/Ordering Officer/Technical Assistant and ensure timely responses and contract correspondence
  • Maintain and update the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Plan upon triggering events (ownership changes, supplier/sub changes, ICT compromises)
  • Coordinate with Hopper GCC N8 to execute the Financial Management Plan that includes tracking and reporting budgets, cost, schedule, and performance
  • Provide input to the Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS)
  • Provide Contract Expenditure Reports, Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSRs), Contractor Cost Data (CCD) reports, Cost and Software Data Reports (CSDR), and Cost Data Summary Reports (CDSR)
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reviews (costs, hours, invoices, percent complete, EACs) and progress reporting per CDRLs
  • Maintain the Billet Roster of cleared personnel assigned, track contractor travel and deployed personnel, and provide trip reports to the customer
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure subcontractor compliance with technical, financial, and security requirements
  • Enforce Secret eligibility, DD 254 adherence, IA/CSWF certifications compliance, SAAR-N processing, and annual IA trainings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required Certifications: PMP
  • BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Engineering or Engineering Discipline desired. 10+ years program/project management experience leading large, complex DoD/IC IT or Cyber programs and 5+ years managing multi-vendor/subcontractor efforts with measurable cost/schedule accountability. Must be a US citizen.
  • Experience in Defense acquisition, specifically experience in support of Army Acquisition management, or an equal level of Federal and Army Contract Management experience.

Network Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Operator to manage, secure, and maintain the critical network infrastructure at a premier US Army installation.
  • The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in a range of advanced networking technologies and a comprehensive understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) security protocols.
  • This role is essential for ensuring stability, integrity, and security of network services that support critical mission objectives.
  • You will be responsible for enforcing rigorous security standards, including STIGs, and leveraging automation to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring robust security policies and threat prevention.
  • Manage and troubleshoot complex campus networks built on Cisco Catalyst 9300 stacked switches and 9400 series chassis.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure all network devices are configured and maintained in strict compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Army cybersecurity directives.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities in response to ACAS and CTO initiatives.
  • Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents in coordination with the security operations team.

Network Automation

  • Develop and maintain scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible to automate routine network administration tasks, device configuration, and compliance checks. Experience with Linux Bash scripting is also preferred.
  • Assist in the development of a network automation framework to improve operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s (master’s preferred) in Computer Science or Systems Engineering.
  • Advanced industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Enterprise/Security, or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
  • Experience with advanced network monitoring, logging, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark).
  • Advanced scripting capabilities for complex network automation workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Site Manager will be responsible for management of the contract and ensure deliverable, and customer needs are met.

Information Technologist

SCOPE: Serves as an Information Technologist on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Army

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform system and server backups and restoration of systems/servers as required.
  • Ensure the redundant file system structure (integral parts of some operating/network systems) operate efficiently to ensure the data is current and accurate.
  • Perform server administration to include the administration of file, web, SQL, or printer servers. Administrative duties shall include, but are not limited to, installation, configuration, set-up, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Decommissioning of servers and associated equipment and hardware. Contractor employees should also create service accounts and server data repository.

Senior System Administrator/SQL Server DBA

POSITION: Sr. Systems Administrator

SCOPE: Serves as a Senior Systems Administrator with technical expertise in SQL Server Database Administration and implementation for the US Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) Information Systems Directorate (G6). Responsible for assessing, evaluating, installing, managing, maintaining, and securing databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity, within a defined physical, virtual and/or Azure cloud environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the technical assessment, evaluation, installation, configuration, and upgrading of database servers/instances and applications dependent on database services, such as SharePoint and ADFS. Ensure databases are functional, efficient and secure.
  • Implement robust security measures (both STIG and best practices) to protect databases from unauthorized access and threats.
  • Develop and manage backup procedures to safeguard against data loss, above and beyond enterprise backup implementation.
  • Continuously monitor database performance and optimize operations by tuning SQL queries, adjusting indexes, and configuring virtual or cloud hardware resources.
  • Manage required local users of databases and maintain system security by controlling database access.
  • Collaborate with developers and data analysts to design databases that support applications and ATEC reporting requirements.
  • Generate various reports by querying the database as per organizational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:
    • Master’s Degree in a directly related field and at least 5 years’ experience; Lower-level degrees in relevant fields will be considered with additional experience.
    • Education or certification must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g., Network Engineering, Network Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Forensics/Security, etc.).
  • Baseline Security Certification:
    • Must possess current Security+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II).
    • Computing Environment Certification (can be achieved within 6 months of hire).
    • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar legacy certification.
  • Skills and Experience:
    • Proven experience with database engineering tasks such as database consolidation/migration, redesign, new platform transition (e.g. SQL Server to alternative database solution).
    • Understanding of application specific alternative database solutions, particularly open-source databases (such as PostgreSQL or MariaDB) deployed in the ATEC environment is required.
    • Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Familiarity with database design, effective documentation, and coding is vital.
  • Additional preferred skills and experience:

Systems Administrator – Senior

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs Windows Server systems administration including troubleshooting, monitoring, and support;
  • Windows event and performance monitoring; and management of hosted systems software platforms.
  • Resolves basic and intermediate issues associated with system configuration management, resource sharing and basic networking troubleshooting and problem identification.
  • Resolves security issues including identity management, records retention, and implements destruction policies.

  • Experience in resolving complex issues associated with configuration management. resource sharing and basic networking troubleshooting and problem identification.
  • Experience in resolving security issues, identity management, records retention, and adhering to destruction policies

Summary:

The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) provides Information Technology (IT) support to U.S. Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires, Program Executive Office Missile & Space (PEO M&S) which is a Continental United States (CONUS) organization. The OCIO provides centralized life cycle management, direction, guidance, and support for the acquisition, sustainment, maintainability, supportability, and implementation of the PEO, Information Mission Area (IMA). PAE Fires is an approved Data Center providing hosting to multiple organizations, Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) throughout the US Army Acquisition community.

Duties: PAE Fires, PEO M&S

  • Provides end user support, ticket response, resolution, and escalation for apps/SP.
  • Responds to inquiries from computer users and assist in resolving IT problems.
  • Diagnoses computer hardware and software issues.
  • Responds to telephone calls and utilize the automated service desk to assist customers with computer/software problems.
