Job Description:

The Senior System Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in gathering requirements, designing, developing, and maintaining IT system solutions aligned with the Army’s data integration and quality management needs. This role focuses on enhancing data quality, enabling efficient system integrations, supporting compliance with established governance frameworks and documentation standards, and performing data validation and interface auditing to ensure system integrity and data quality. Proficiency in advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, data validation, interface auditing, Artificial Intelligence, and metadata management tools such as Collibra is also critical. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

The Senior System Solution Architect will ensure system alignment with data governance principles, such as visibility, accessibility, and trustworthiness, while providing technical expertise in Army-specific platforms like Army Vantage.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements Gathering:

  • Engage stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze technical and functional requirements
  • Translate business needs into actionable technical specifications and solutions

Data Integration:

  • Develop and integrate datasets from multiple sources (LMP, GCSS-A, GFEBS, AESIP) into unified datasets
  • Utilize advanced programming skills in Python and PySpark for scalable and efficient data processing

Data Validation and Interface Auditing:

  • Perform technical and functional audits of data interfaces to ensure compliance with integration standards
  • Validate data accuracy, consistency, and quality across systems and datasets

Project Management:

  • Plan, manage, and oversee projects to ensure timely delivery/alignment with strategic goals
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, track progress, and mitigate risks during project execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of the organization

Advanced Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Analyze complex data scenarios to identify and resolve issues effectively
  • Develop innovative solutions to enhance data integration and quality processes
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within established timelines

Metadata Management:

  • Utilize metadata management tools, such as Collibra, to ensure proper documentation, validation, and integration of metadata
  • Develop and maintain metadata in alignment with Army Data Catalogs

Visualization and Presentation:

  • Create dashboards using Army Vantage as the primary tool, with additional experience in Power BI and Tableau considered valuable
  • Deliver professional presentations via PowerPoint to effectively communicate findings and solutions

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

System Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth requirement analysis to inform system sustainment and development
  • Facilitate functional & technical testing of system updates, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Architectural Design:

  • Create architectural models, data flow diagrams, and integration plans to support solution implementation
  • Ensure robust cross-system interoperability through architectural strategies

Data Quality & Data Governance:

  • Implement data quality management practices, including auditing, cleaning, and profiling
  • Monitor and manage authoritative datasets to ensure mission alignment and readiness

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with technical teams, functional managers, and leadership to achieve project milestones
  • Lead working groups to address data governance, quality, and integration challenges

Technology Experience/Expertise:

  • Proficiency in the primary data visualization, analytics and dashboarding tools (Army Vantage, Power BI) and metadata management (Collibra)
  • Advanced programming expertise in Python and PySpark for data engineering tasks
  • Ability to debug code for root cause analysis
  • Ability to process and run database queries

Cyber Security Management Specialist – Senior

SCOPE:  Serve as a Senior Cybersecurity Management Specialist on a major IT support contract for the US Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) Headquarters in Aberdeen, Maryland.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates, manages and supports Authorize and Assess (A&A) packages and evaluating controls to DoD regulations and security frameworks.  Includes expertise in developing packages, and reviewing and providing guidance to System Owners on:

  • SharePoint development and administration, with expertise in developing and deploying SharePoint solutions, including custom web parts, workflows, lists, libraries, content types, and site collection management in both SharePoint Online and On-Premises.
  • Experience using SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and Power Automate for workflow automation.
  • Experience with Power Apps development and support (e.g., troubleshooting, optimization); experience developing both canvas and model-driven apps.
  • Design and implement Power Automate workflows to streamline processes and integrate with external data sources including SQL, SharePoint, or third-party APIs using Common Data Service.

POSITION: VMware Systems Administrator – Senior

LOCATION: Portsmouth/Norfolk/Chesapeake, VA

SCOPE: Serves as a Senior Systems Administrator with primary responsibilities for VMware administration on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Navy

RESPONSIBILITIES and EXPERIENCE:

  • Design, deploy, and manage VMware infrastructure components, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Windows domain architecture, including Active Directory deployment, Group Policy configuration, and DNS/DHCP services.
  • Create and administer virtual desktop environments (e.g., VMware Horizon View), virtual machine templates, snapshots, and virtual networking.
  • Configure and provision storage systems (e.g., iSCSI, NFS, VMFS), and perform patch management, data backup, and disaster recovery planning in virtualized environments.
  • Perform optimization, capacity planning, configuration management, troubleshooting, monitoring, patching, and support of on-premise and cloud-based Windows Server enterprise.

Position: Assistant Program Manager

Location: Ft. Novosel, AL

Scope: Serves as the Assistant Program Manager on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Army

Responsibilities: Assistant Program Managers are concerned with supporting the Program Manager in the overall planning, direction and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to the activity’s and agency’s needs. Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks.

Assistant Program Managers are also responsible for assisting the Program Manager in the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans, and providing guidance when the Program Manager is not available. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Assistant Program Manager.

Qualifications: This position requires 7 years minimum managing IT Operations within a DoD environment.
