POSITION: Network Engineer – Senior

LOCATION: Fairfield, CA

SCOPE: Serves as a Network Engineer on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Army

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs advanced network administration including installation, configuration, patching, and monitoring of routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, WAN interfaces and circuits, and network security devices/software including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and content filtering systems.
  • Performs optimization, troubleshooting, and monitoring of the network, including load balancers, failover, and network interfaces to externally-managed Army WAN infrastructure.
  • Conducts scans for wireless devices and access points on the network; identifies and isolates unauthorized wireless access.
  • Resolves intermediate and advanced issues associated with network configuration, routing, load/traffic management, and QoS, and conducts troubleshooting and problem identification.
  • Configures and supports VoIP and VTC services; optimizes service performance based on traffic types and policies.
  • Manages network security including 24×7 real-time monitoring; performs network analysis for threats; applies NIST RMF security controls and DoD STIGs; maintains network security baselines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience and/or specialized training/certifications may be substituted for education.
  • Education or certification must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Forensics/Security, etc.).
  • Experience using and writing operating system commands and scripts, and using scripting languages including Tcl and Shell scripts.
  • Experience with performance and routing optimization, capacity planning and bottleneck resolution, administration of Cisco and F5 network platforms, building and maintaining high-availability/resiliency and scalable networks.
  • Experience using SIEM and data analysis tools such as SolarWinds and Splunk.
  • Familiarity with DoD cross-domain and COMSEC key management solutions is a plus.
  • CCNP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

SCOPE: Serves as a Contract Program Manager on a major IT services contract for the U.S. Army

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifies and manages contract performance and cost risks.
  • Plans for and oversees the contractor team’s technical service delivery following industry best practices (e.g., ITIL, Agile), ensuring meeting service delivery requirements, quality standards, and Government customer satisfaction objectives.

Position Description:

The Computer Technician I supports the OTC mission at Ft. Cavazos, TX, by:

  • Possessing required technical knowledge of installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining software, hardware, configurations, and peripherals; isolating equipment/system/software malfunctions and restoring failed equipment to good working order; conducting operational checks and replacing defective parts and assemblies
  • Applying technical knowledge and training to solve routine and complex problems in the maintenance of digital computers, configuration and peripheral components

Position Description:

The Help Desk Technician I requires considerable knowledge of computer operations, networking, and software applications that are being used within the networking system.  They support the OTC mission by:

  • Required experience in deploying IT hardware such as desktop computers, laptops, tablets, monitors and printers; configuring IT hardware to resolve problems and installing/configuring operating system images and specialty software on customer devices.
  • Acting as the primary customer support point of contact for software and hardware problem resolution, providing telephone support and responding to user’s email and web requests
  • Troubleshooting user’s problems, determining probable source of malfunctions
  • Accurately entering user data and problem descriptions into online system, resolving problems via remote control software, or verbal instruction, or routing problems to next level support

  • Work with customers and requirements analysts to understand and gather application requirements.

DESCRIPTION:

Performs actions to protect, monitor, detect, analyze and respond to unauthorized activity within assigned information systems and computer networks. Employs Cybersecurity capabilities and deliberate actions to respond to a CND alert or emerging situational awareness/threat.   • Utilize Wireshark and Attack surface analyzer to assess software traffic and connections 
  • Assess Hardware against named STIG or SRG 
  • Document assessment results and potential mitigations 
  • Assist with assessment of subordinate locations against STIG, 800-53 controls, and Army regulations
  • STIG checklist reviews for packages managed by the branch 
  • Auditing of technical controls within eMASS 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in directly related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience; Relevant work experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree
  • Must hold one of following certifications:
    • CSSP-AU 
    •  CISA 
    • IASAE 
    • CASP+CE, CISSP or associate, CSSLP 
  • Must possess DOD 8570.01-M certifications meeting the requirements for IAT Level II or IAM Level I.
  • Relevant education and/or experience in the assigned program area (Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems) with specific experience in cybersecurity and/or information assurance.
  • Specialized experience in AS&D STIG compliance, secure software development/testing, static and dynamic code analysis, software assurance, software assessments, application threat modeling, performing software and hardware risk and vulnerability analysis, or a closely related function, such as technical assessment of software for networks, applications and systems; using cybersecurity/IT audit tools such as ACAS, HP Fortify, HP Web Inspect, BURP Suite, and other software assurance tools.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance is required

POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Senior Appian Developer at Caelum, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing robust solutions using the Appian Low-Code Automation Platform within the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance and may lead a small team of Appian developers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of Appian applications, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Design and architect solutions leveraging the capabilities of the Appian Low-Code Automation Platform within the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
  • Configure and build workflows and tailored user interfaces utilizing the Appian platform to build and apply complex business rules.
  • Leverage knowledge of Business Process Management & Reengineering to optimize workflows, apply robotic process automation and/or AI features where they will improve user productivity
  • Design dynamic user interfaces and complete applications.
  • Integrate with web services, databases, or other systems to build process models and executable workflows.
  • Interpret and troubleshoot technical issues within Appian design objects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Lead/coordinate the efforts of a small team of Appian developers toward project objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, CIS or cybersecurity or related field) and 3+ years of experience. No degree or any degree in non-directly related field with technical certifications and 5+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing enterprise applications using the Appian Low-Code Automation Platform. Experience with configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise business software applications, specifically Appian-based systems. Experience with business process modeling and optimization.

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Cloud services and technologies, including Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile/scrum development methodologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, design, communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of business process modelling and reengineering techniques and mainstream tools (Visio, Metastorm, Aris, MagicDraw, etc). Knowledge of JavaScript and SAIL.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Appian Certified Senior Developer – OR – Certified Lead Developer

SALARY (Based on level of experience and expertise): $150K – $185K
