POSITION OVERVIEW: The Senior Cloud Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and migrating the product technology stack deployed in the Azure IL5 environment, as well as optimizing cloud services and installing patches to keep all components compliant with cybersecurity requirements and the latest features. The role will also involve assisting cybersecurity personnel in completing/updating RMF packages and connecting the platform to Microsoft 365 services. Project includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS, database server, application server, and Appian business process management platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the product technology stack in the Azure IL5 environment and ensure high reliability and availability.
  • Migrate product from the current subscription into the target cloud environment.
  • Optimize cloud services to minimize operating costs.
  • Install patches and updates to keep all components compliant with cybersecurity requirements and the latest features.
  • Assist cybersecurity personnel in completing/updating RMF packages for ATO.
  • Assist the data pipeline engineer in connecting product to Microsoft 365 services.
  • Design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Manage a Kubernetes cluster and/or containerized applications (ideally Appian).
  • Manage networking technologies.
  • Manage a production environment with the following: automated install, automated build and deployment, automated configuration management, enterprise monitoring systems, server virtualization, load balancing, web servers, and application servers, Red Hat Enterprise Linux server operating system.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, CIS or cybersecurity or related field) and 4+ years of experience. No or any degree in non-directly related field with technical certifications and 7+ years of experience.
  • Experience in Appian software installation and maintenance on various types of on-prem and cloud infrastructures.
  • Experience managing a Kubernetes cluster and/or containerized applications (ideally Appian).
  • Management of Government-approved server or desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix, or Red Hat Linux) including installation, configuration, applying security settings.
  • Experience configuring and managing Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
  • Experience managing networking technologies (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, VLANs, general network troubleshooting, etc.).

ServiceNow Architect

OVERVIEW:

The ServiceNow Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions within the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) ServiceNow environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ServiceNow development, integrations, and architecture, as well as a strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design and implement solutions within the ARL ServiceNow environment, including Development, Test, and Production servers, Mid-Servers for Discovery, and MariaDB database servers.
  2. Manage current integrations with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Tanium, Tenable, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) integration with Active Directory.
  3. Implement and support modules including Customer Service Management (CSM), Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM).
