Position Description:

  • Provide direct support to the Army Materiel Command (AMC) CIO Mission Support Division in the management of software compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing for AMC.
  • Facilitate AMC’s needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
  • Perform market research and analysis to identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services and support for AMC and subordinate command’s acquisition processes.
  • Review existing contracts and proposed requirements documents to maximize value creation and minimize costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings. The Analyst will communicate through email, individual interviews, group meetings, and presentations to end users, management, developers, and vendors to collect this information.
  • Collect and maintain software information in a database format to assist the AMC customer with budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and costs.
  • Assist in the development of reporting processes to address AMC IT management requirements for software management decision support.
  • Respond to requests from AMC end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
  • Support the AMC customer in developing and implementing techniques, best practices, and procedures for licensing administration in a manner that best protects AMC.
  • Monitor and support the enforcement of vendor guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements for AMC. The Analyst will track software product contracts from beginning to end, including procurement, development, service control, and consultants. The Analyst will compile and maintain inventories of software and systems assets for the purpose of tracking their corresponding licenses. The Analyst will develop and present software license recommendations to AMC that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. The Analyst will monitor licenses for compliance with organizational needs and requirements, including follow-up checks for corrective action.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the customer’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent licensing activities and best practices. The Analyst will monitor and analyze trends in contractual agreements to make recommendations for the future, identify areas for possible savings, provide guidance and/or instruction to AMC IT Staff Members on the licensing compliance best practices, and establish and maintain communication with license owners allowing time to validate and support future licensing renewals.
  • Must have strong familiarity and technical competence with license management software and knowledge of license terms and conditions for use for products such as and not limited to Microsoft Server/Database Products, Oracle products, and VMWARE products.
  • Must have superior organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills; possess the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; interact at all levels in the chain of command; work independently with minimal supervision; work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment; and work well under pressure and around tight deadlines.
  • Must have working knowledge and experience with the MS Office applications suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). For example, the analyst must be able to create and use pivot tables in Excel; create and run data queries and reports in Access; create, edit, and format Word documents; and develop or modify PowerPoint presentations including text, graphics, and data tables.

Data Collector V – Field Leader

  • Provides oversight to employees assigned to collect data on a variety of test programs to include highly complex systems
  • Provides technical guidance, assistance, and on-the-job training and closely monitors workload
  • Reviews work in progress for quality, completeness, and accuracy daily and initials completed work

Requirements

  • Will have a GPA of 2.5 or higher in each individual discipline of math and science and a GPA of 3.0 or higher in High School English or a GPA of 2.5 or higher in College English from either an accredited high school or university. (The minimum high school diploma will not be waived for an equivalency degree)
  • Will have six (6) years’ experience in performing data collection of military/non- military equipment and associated maintenance concepts; or an Associate’s Degree in a technical area and four (4) years’ experience in performing data collection of military/non- military equipment and associated maintenance concepts; or a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical area and two (2) years’ experience in performing data collection of military/non- military equipment and associated maintenance concepts
  • TRAVEL – May be required to travel on a short notice basis, to CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) – May be required to wear the appropriate PPE
  • RESPIRATORS – May be required to wear a respirator to protect from potential respiratory hazards.  Personnel issued respirators must be medically cleared and cleanly shaven

Cybersecurity Management Specialist II

Overview/Scope of Responsibilities:

Provide technical security expertise in planning, preparing, and coordinating the Department of Defense (DOD) Cybersecurity (CS) Program for the Operational Test Command (OTC) Network, Servers, Systems and Network devices. Provide experience in developing and interpreting cybersecurity plans, policies, and procedures (to include but not limited to configuration management, contingency/disaster preparation, incident response, account management, access control, media control, etc.), providing incident response, reviewing security assessments and inspections and conducting risk management activities at the system level.

Position Description:

The Cybersecurity (CS) Management Specialist II supports the OTC mission by:

  • Having one year systems administration experience in a computer network environment
  • Serving as Subject Matter Expert and providing direct customer support to help resolve security vulnerability issues that cannot be resolved through automated means
  • Providing support to Windows Server 2012; Windows 10 for workstations and possessing a thorough understanding of computer networks and telecommunications procedures
  • Understanding use and configuration of network routers, access control lists, firewalls, and virtual private network (VPN)
  • Assisting with CS related analysis, scanning, documenting, and testing/evaluating support for the CS security posture and accreditation requirements of OTC applications/systems
  • Providing technical security expertise in planning, preparing, and coordinating of the Department of Defense (DoD) CS program
  • Possessing the background, experience, and knowledge of CS, patch management, IAVM, risk assessment and vulnerability assessment using Retina, or other automated tools
  • Possessing experience in computer emergency response, incident handling and monitoring instruction detection system and firewalls

  • Supporting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of OTC servers, desktops, and network devices through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of information security programs, group policies, and security tools such as Host Based Security System (HBSS), Systems Management Server (SMS), Anti-virus, Windows Update Server (WSUS), and the DoD Vulnerability Management System
  • Updating and maintaining IAVA compliance database, submitting Change Orders for IAVM remediation, and reporting to OTC CS Branch as appropriate. Receive, investigate, confirm, and document reports of malicious software attacks, suspicious activities, penetration incidents, and prepare/submit notifications to the OTC CS Branch. Receive instructions and guidance from the OTC CS Branch on issues regarding connectivity, vulnerability assessments, and scanning of the OTC Local Area and Test Networks. Report security issues to OTC CS Branch and ensure sound security principles are reflected in the organization’s vision and goals. Implement and develop basic programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to system security policies and procedures.
  • Conducting analysis of the current security posture and ensuring the implementation of mandated Security Controls and Best Practices
  • Ensuring all systems connected to the networks meet all established requirements, to include RMF and Networthiness accreditation.
  • Enforcing configuration standards and advising the CS Chief and Project Lead on CS configuration management issues, as required
  • Assisting the Army Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and serving as an OTC CERT team to ensure proper action is taken in a timely and effective manner

Required Education and Experience:

  • No or any Degree in non-directly related field with technical certifications AND 3+ years’ experience, or
  • Bachelors in directly related field AND minimum of 2+ years’ experience

Relevant experience must be in information security or network/system administration, and/or a closely related function, such as IT auditing, IT compliance, enterprise risk management, performing cybersecurity assessments and inspections, providing incident response, creating/ updating/ implementing cybersecurity-relevant policies and procedures, etc. DOD regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks, including NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, DoD RMF, etc.

Relevant education and/or experience in the assigned program area (Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems) with specific experience in cybersecurity and/or information assurance, or related technical field at the network environment level.

Multi-Media/Visual Information/Graphic Design Analyst

Job Description:

The Multi-Media/Visual Information/Graphic Design Analyst will function as part of a project team that provides on-site presentation development and content management support. The team provides manual and digital visual information support for output in a variety of formats, such as, but not limited to, charts, slide presentations, icons, logo design, video presentation, line drawings, banners, posters, office signs, static displays, brochures, print publications, official gifts that have a graphic component, etc.

Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining visual information products to establish and reinforce the message(s) of the organization. The candidate will provide support in visual information and graphic design and assists customers in conceptualizing digital and graphic approaches to basic or abstract ideas and plans, to include providing sketches or rough drafts to illustrate these ideas. As required, research topics for pertinent information based on project needs. Document work for the benefit of team members in production/ reproduction and posterity.

Expert skills are required in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.) and Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.). The candidate should also be familiar with SharePoint version control & best practices, Tableau, Power BI, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Adobe Bridge, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Visio.

LOCATION:    Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

SCOPE:  Serves as an Application Developer on a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at the Aberdeen Test Center (ATC).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Software development programming in C#, Microsoft .Net, .NET Framework, Visual Basic.net, SQL, XML, VBA for Office Applications

Relevant education must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g., Network Engineering, Network Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Forensics/Security, etc.

Relevant experience must include technical knowledge of installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining software, hardware, configurations, and peripherals, isolating equipment/system/software malfunctions and restoring failed equipment to good working order, conducting operational checks and replacing defective parts and assemblies. Position Description:

The Administrative Specialist III supports company operations by maintaining office systems and records. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the preparation and generation of all contract related documents ensuring compliance with both contract and company policies.
  • Serves as the Contract Site HR Representative with responsibility for the following areas: Employee Relations, salary administration, personnel actions.
  • Conducts complex financial studies and reviews operating budget pertaining to Task/Event related activities. Prepares recommendations to Senior Managers and Government officials to counter overruns.

Job Description:

Provide leadership to Help Desk Team providing desktop, software, and peripheral support, release management, password management, and account management for both NIPRNET and SIPRNET customers, including VIP support for command staff, unit control center, and directors; report significant outages and/or customer issues to appropriate Government management personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deploying IT hardware such as desktop computers, laptops, tablets, monitors and printers; configuring IT hardware to resolve problems
  • Installing/configuring operating system images and specialty software on customer devices.
  • Documenting activities using Trouble Ticket automated software
  • Performing backup and restore of software and data on client compute devices
