POSITION TITLE: Chief Technology Officer (Rockville, MD)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Lead Caelum’s IT and related technology development and identify potential business initiatives in federal and commercial clients that provide for the expansion of Caelum’s technical capabilities and revenues. Develop or provide input for proposals as part of business development activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with corporate leadership to develop short- and long-range goals/objectives for IT and related emerging technologies business development functions.
• Develops and recommends strategies for taking advantage of the Company’s technological strengths and for developing new capabilities.
• Lead or champion IT initiatives in new business capture and pursue activities; assist multi-discipline and/or cross-functional teams in proposal preparation activities.
• Monitors company IT performance against corporate initiatives or contract requirements, compliance and maintains customer contact on issues, to ensure customer satisfaction. Encourages and supports a “team” mindset within the company.
• Lead Caelum IT Quality Assurance programs for compliance, training and certifications.
• Assist managing and reporting activity, pipeline development, and revenue forecasting through developed organizational processes.

REPORTING/INTERFACE RELATIONSHIPS:

• Reports to Caelum’s President.
• Interfaces externally with government personnel, vendors, and teaming or joint venture partners.
• Participate in internal BD meetings, and internally interface with other executives, program or project managers, HR, and support group members as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or related field with expertise in IT related technologies.
• Advanced study or related professional training and IT related certification are desirable.
• At least 10 years demonstrated previous successful relevant work and management experience.
• Knowledge of Fed Government contracting acquisition processes.

COMPENSATION AND OTHER FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS AT HIRE:

• Base salary is open. This position is an incentive-oriented position; in addition to base salary and comprehensive fringe benefits, the successful candidate will be eligible for additional incentive compensation such as bonus and/or Value Appreciation Right (VAR), which is directly related to work performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform scanning, analysis and remediation with the Enterprise provided tool and provide reports.
  • Administers Host-Based Security System (HBSS).
  • Provide reports and documentation in support of the submission (and continuous monitoring) for the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Manage the IAVM program for all RNEC-Aberdeen managed devices for installation and customer activities.
  • Perform network, workstation, and server scans and compile vulnerability reports to facilitate corrections.

  • Lifecycle replacement of servers, storage area network devices, file area servers and applicable equipment will include disassembling servers, IT equipment, server racks and/or shelving. Reassemble all IT related equipment at the new location.

  • Evaluates network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good-put, and latency

The successful Senior Helpdesk Specialist (Information Technology Specialist III) serves as the Tier II, III help desk support providing Information Technology support to Army users.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answers and route trouble calls reported to the helpdesk
  • Annotates trouble ticket status
  • Receives Tier 1 escalated tickets and works to resolution
  • Performs computer maintenance, administration, and Repair
  • Provides IT assistance to students and instructors for IT problems such as Server and/or Network failures
  • Maintains computer related software and hardware trouble logs in electronic format
  • Operates, administers, maintains, and repairs personal computers at various buildings and rooms
  • Identifies and removes software that violates license agreements
  • Maintains government equipment and software licensing inventory
  • Performs Helpdesk Service Desk Operations; Triage Incident tickets issued according to their assigned area(s) of responsibility utilizing the Work Ordering system
  • Responds/acknowledges and resolve service ticket within established timeframes from receipt of the incident/call for touch labor support.
  • Establish new, maintain, delete, and troubleshoot Active Directory client accounts/client systems
  • Trouble-shoots and resolves user/client standard application/configuration problems via telephone assistance call, remote control and at user locations.
  • Maintain local standard operating system and local/standard client application software to current Army configuration, service pack, patch, and security fix and virus definition standards
  • Performs troubleshooting to resolve desktop baseline application and E-Mail problems
  • Coordinates standard system image configuration changes with the SCCM Image Team
  • Provides guidance to desktop services technicians, assigned users, and peers.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains desktop applications
  • Configures Standard Army application systems
  • Installs, configures, and maintains desktop Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) authorized client applications
  • Performs commercial hardware repair on computer systems.
  • Assists System Administrators with testing of local client applications and security patches
  • Creates and updates documentation for conventional technical processes
  • Assist System Administrators with installing/testing of system software or network hardware configurations and coordinate the documentation of all client hardware and software changes, to include generating and modifying procedures for the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)/User’s Guide
  • Utilizes the Army Enterprise Service Desk system to create, modify, update, and resolve new or assigned customer support request incidents
  • Clearly and concisely communicates correct information in response to telephone assistance calls, user requests, technical questions, or when attending meetings as a technical representative, to technical and non-technical users at all levels of the command.
  • Execute CAC Pin Resets
  • Augment the Walk-In Center Support
  • Contact software/hardware developers and vendors to resolve unique problems
  • Exchange or replace components with government provided parts
  • Optimize system performance, conduct vulnerability Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans and run intrusion detection software, apply security patches to safeguard the system from intrusion and provide virus detection and removal services IAW AR 25-2 on a weekly basis.

Job Description

The successful Logistics Specialist (Information Technology Specialist II) executes all logistics functions for our DoD customer in an IT environment supporting the Army Schools.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs Logistics functions for 3800 trainer (desktops/laptop type) computers, +/-10% 3600, Mobile Laptops, +/- 10% 80 servers, +/-10%50 switches, +/-10% 335 Printers, +/-10%459 Audio Visual Racks, +/-10% 968 projectors and +/-10% 419 flat panel wall display monitors
  • Plan, coordinate, execute and/or assist in execution of all logistics functions IAW AR 735-5, AR 750-1
  • Assists the Government Hand Receipt Holder with the schedule of events to determine level of support and work schedules required
  • Maintain and prepare necessary accounting and supply documents, custody records, performs reconciliations using Installation Property Spreadsheet
  • Maintain database of various types of files to include Loss, Inventory, Receipts and Disposition Reports
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, storing, preparing, shipping and disposal of supplies related to Army Enterprise Classroom Program operations
  • Inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, targetry, equipment, and materials
  • Maintains accountability and signs out all supplies to all personnel
  • Monitors risk reports, and identify, and correct discrepancies caused by supply system issues
  • Coordinates and sign out Government equipment to customers and work with the installation Property Book Office on all transfer paperwork.
  • Provides warehouse functions support.
  • Provides logistics support in an IT environment supporting the ALU, and the QMS, ORD, and TC Schools.
  • Responds to customer inquiries on the telephone, through service order systems, and email.
  • Tracks shipment of IT equipment sent via UPS/FedEx /Truck/USPS – report information to the COR and customers
  • Creates bills of lading, hand receipts, load plans when transporting IT equipment.
  • Responsible for signing for (sub-hand receipting) all work ordered equipment. Maintains accountability of the work ordered equipment while in possession of the technical staff.
