POSITION SUMMARY:

Identify or direct Caelum’s business development initiatives that provide for the expansion of Caelum’s government contracting business in the U.S. Navy market. Develop and maintain relationships with customers and conduct development or capture activities to pursue potential business opportunities that will capitalize on and expand Caelum’s capabilities. Network with industry partners to explore opportunities for priming, joint venture, or subcontracting that would increase Caelum revenues and profitability. The work location is at Caelum’s HQ in Rockville, Maryland.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead or coordinate to develop short- and long-range goals/objectives and business opportunities pipeline focusing on U.S. Navy market.
  • Develop and recommend strategies to capitalize on the Company’s technical strengths and develop new capabilities.
  • Lead or coordinate in new business capture and pursuit activities; champion multi-discipline or cross-functional teams in proposal preparation activities.
  • Ensure the necessary resources to produce strong, winning, and effective new business captures and proposals.
  • Support a team mindset within the company and develop appropriate teaming or joint venture partners.
  • Manage and report activities, pipeline development, and revenue forecasting.

REPORTING/INTERFACE RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Report directly to Caelum’s President or his designee.
  • Interface with representatives from government customers, vendors, and teaming partners.
  • Interface with Caelum’s other executives regularly, and with contracts’ program or project managers and other support staff as needed.
  • Provide weekly activities report and post in Caelum’s secured Enterprise Business Intelligence Center website.
  • Participate in weekly BD meeting and Monthly Manager Meeting.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 years demonstrated previous successful relevant work experience.
  • In-depth direct knowledge of the Fed Government contracting acquisition processes.
  • Established relationships with potential customers.
  • General IT knowledge or technical background that would facilitate to understand technical requirements.
  • Confident, self-assured demeanor, with excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • No college degree is required, but a B.S. in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
  • Other advanced study, training, and certification is desirable.

COMPENSATION AND OTHER FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS AT HIRE:

  • Base salary open, depending upon the background and experience of the successful candidate.
  • This position is an incentive-oriented position; besides base salary and full fringe benefits, there will be additional incentive compensation IAW revenues/profits generated by the successful candidate.

Linux Administrator

POSITION TITLE:  Linux Admin/IT support for NOAA’s Ocean Surface Winds Science Team (OSWST)

POSITION SCOPE:

This position serves as the principal Systems Administrator and IT resource for the Ocean Surface Winds Science Team in NOAA’s Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR) at NOAA’s Center for Weather and Climate Predictions in College Park Maryland. The OSWST operates an environment that includes 15 Linux CentOS servers and one Solaris Server, 1.4 Petabytes of mostly JBOD storage, Apache Web servers. OSWST performs experiments on NOAA P3 airplanes and the supported environment include systems and sensor interfaces that reside on those planes.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide systems administration and general support for the OSWST infrastructure;
  • Serve as the principal IT resource as member of a small team of scientists and analysts who collect, process, and analyze data to study and model Ocean Surface wind, using data collected via satellite- and air- based experiments;
  • Administer, monitor and maintain all Linux servers, including unboxing, provisioning, baseline configuration, ongoing configuration management, patching, and de-commissioning;
  • Perform Tier -2 and -3 helpdesk support for the OSWST systems;
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization;
  • Assist with patching, developing and implementing firewall rules and security controls;

Position Description:

Provide functional and technical support to USARC customers – both locally and dispersed throughout assigned geographic areas. Primary support will be provided by phone or remote desktop support; however, traveling to customer sites is required as needed. Provide functional and technical assistance for USARC units using the Unit Level Logistics System Aviation Enhanced (ULLS-AE) and related sub systems. Support for all issues related to the Unit Level Logistics System – Aviation (Enhanced) (ULLS-AE), related sub-systems and other US Army Logistics Information Systems. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

High School Diploma/GED AND three (3) years of directly related experience is required.

A minimum of two (2) years’ experience supporting ULLS-AE and related computer hardware/software/network troubleshooting.

Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills.

Active Secret or Interim Secret Clearance to start. Due to the nature of the Government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.

DoD IA Technical Level II certification, to include CompTIA Security+ (must be currently CE enrolled) Required.

Desired Skills:

Desired experience with a combination of: SAMS-E, ULLS-AE, PBUSE, TC-AIMS, GCSS-A, SAMS-FM, LogDAT and CASI-VSAT; a Computing Environment Certification (i.e. MCSA Windows Server 2012); and knowledge of Information Security and distributed network systems using the ArNET or NIPRNet are preferred, but not essential.

Windows Server Administrator responsible for installation, configuration and support of all Windows, VMware ESXi servers and operating systems within a DoD enterprise environment requiring 24 x 7 uptime. Responsibilities include building, installing and configuration of all physical and virtual servers, deploying and testing OS, virus updates, patches, STIGS, SCAP, and performance tuning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Installs and configures Windows server hardware and software, to include physical and virtual servers, legacy Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, VMware ESXi, Virtual Center, VMotion and HBSS.

– Assumes a primary role in the testing of new equipment.

Integration Management Lead

  • Leads integration checkout activities for Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) components and mid-course sensors after Hardware and Software upgrades within the GMD ISTC laboratories.
  • Primary test asset management focal point during formal ground testing, coordinating with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Test Event Execution team to work issues that may arise with components and report status and readiness of ISTC and other laboratories via voice communications.
  • Coordinates with all participating BMDS elements within ISTC labs for formal test events, lab readiness runs, and element requested checkout activities, real world events and training exercises; coordinates schedules for integration and lab activities based on element availability.
  • Leads the execution of lab readiness runs to verify status of the HWIL assets within ISTC labs.
  • Assists lab components in the resolution of issues affecting successful integration for the specified test event.
  • Ensures all data is appropriately captured for each component after individual runs, located in the appropriate storage area, and placed under CM control for transfer to the Missile Defense Data Center.
  • Captures and maintains metrics of the number of hardware, software, and configuration changes as well as the number of runs conducted on a day to day basis within ISTC laboratories to feed overall ARC utilization metrics for all assets.
  • Performance metrics are also captured to include component turnaround time, test execution durations, and data archival efficiency.
  • Provides technical support at weekly Integration Meetings and any other impromptu Technical Meetings, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum: PhD in a relevant field OR ten (10) years related work experience, in place of; AND
  • 20 or more years related work experience.
  • IA certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 8570.01M
