JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for systems analysis, diagnosis and troubleshooting, Information Assurance (IA) initiatives, and system mitigation and transition strategies. Primary functional areas of system support include a suite of systems and servers to include stand-alone or live supply, maintenance, transportation, command and control databases, maps, VLANs, active directory controls, user accounts, clean-up of servers, database resets, and rebuilds of server and system images. Support current releases of all OS and applications. Current Microsoft environment is server 2003/2008/2012.

Employment is contingent upon contract award and obtaining required security clearance and IT certification(s).

JOB TYPE: Full-time

LOCATION: Fort Lee, VA

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or five (5) years’ related experience.

Clearance: Secret Security Clearance (Tier 3)

Certification: Information Assurance (IAT II) and Computing Environment (CE) certifications IAW DoD 8570.01-M.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience supporting Microsoft, Solaris, or another server-based environment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience working with Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (Forefront TMG), formerly known as Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server (ISA), Share Point, SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, and Active Directory planning and implementation.
  • Experience deploying Microsoft Windows systems
  • Experience in DoD architectures and communications initiatives (e.g. tactical networks, and commercial satellite communications, LAN, systems administration, configuration management tools and techniques).

Information Technologist IV – Cisco Network Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW: Provides configuration, installation, commission, operation, and troubleshooting of private networks used to conduct training and overall training support for training mission. Private networks are comprised of CISCO core switches, node switches, and distribution switches.

Information Technologist III – Client Support Administrator

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for support of computers and applicable equipment over their complete life cycle to include setup/configuration, software installation and assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance for all administrative and operational systems. Provides expert technical support to image computers using the approved Microsoft OS and Army Gold Master baseline image. Utilizes acquired knowledge to balance user requirements, available resources and organizational goals and objectives while striving to maintain top quality customer service. Responds to phone, in-person inquiries, and the online service request (work order) system from a wide variety of customers.

  • Ability to support infrastructure enterprise network by developing, customizing, and documenting unattended installation scripts for deployment of applications, operating systems, and patches to 13,000+ desktops, laptops, tablets and PDAs.
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, configuring and troubleshooting networking operating systems. Recommends organization-wide standards and best practices including commenting on policy and procedures development.
  • Experience in deploying packages in a Windows Active Directory environment. Provide assistance to specialized development, maintenance and support based on user needs. Experience with various software products (ex. Symantec Backup Exec or NetBackup) that perform and maintain backup resources.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Advanced understanding of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol.
