Position/Title:            Senior Accountant

Position Summary:   An exempt position – responsible for all aspects accounting to include general ledger, project billings, accounts receivable, financial statements in Government Contracting environment at Caelum HQ located in Rockville, MD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end journal entries
  • Prepare month-end close activities
  • Prepare month-end financial statements
  • Record daily cash transactions
  • Prepare monthly billings
  • Prepare budgets/forecasts and report variances against actual
  • Prepare internal reports to facilitate sound management decisions
  • Prepare external project reports in accordance with contract deliverables
  • Review/Compliance with contractual documents and funding modifications
  • Monitor, Analyze and Report contract performance in accordance with government specifications and requirements
  • Prepare/Assist contract close-out procedures

Other:

  • Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Three plus years of experience in all aspects of accounting
  • Federal Government Contracting; experience in all types of contracts (T&M, CPFF, and FFP), relevant federal regulations, including FAR requirements preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense preferred.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and work with others.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Reporting/Interface Relationships:

  • Reports to Caelum’s CFO located at Caelum HQ, Rockville, MD.
  • Interfaces on a regular basis externally with customers, vendors, and teaming partners.
  • Participate in monthly meetings, and internally interface with other program or project managers, HR, and support group members as needed.

Compensation and Other Financial Considerations at Hire:

  • The title is commensurate with candidate’s qualification and experience.
  • Base salary is open, depending upon background and experience of successful candidate.
  • This position is an incentive-oriented position; in addition to base salary and comprehensive fringe benefits, this position is eligible for incentive compensations directly related to revenues and earnings growth as a result of the candidate’s effort.

Supply Technician I

Position Title: Supply Technician I

Security Clearance (Required): Secret

Certifications (Required): None.

Position Description:

The Supply Technician I conducts a variety of duties that require an understanding of U.S. Army’s supply procedures and policies. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials against receiving documents, annotating and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. The Supply Technician I may operate hand or power trucks in performing their duties.

The Supply Technician I supports the OTC mission by:

  • Possessing the ability to work with others and to work independently
  • Performing general supply and warehouse duties as described above
  • Periodically bending, kneeling, and lifting of 50+ pounds
  • Previous supply/warehouse service experience preferred
  • Demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Having experience operating a forklift and the ability to operate a manual pallet jack
  • Possessing a current Driver License
  • Pulling, packing, and shipping items and preparing them for customer pickup
  • Performing inventories of warehouse items
  • Completing appropriate paperwork to maintain accountability of material
  • Possessing basic computer knowledge

Required Education and Experience:

Must possess at a minimum a High School diploma/GED and 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse. May be required to possess a Class A CDL.

Helpdesk Technician I

Position Title: Helpdesk Technician I

Security Clearance (Required): Secret

Certifications (Required): Security+, A+ or Network+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT I).

Position Description:

The Helpdesk Technician I requires considerable knowledge of computer operations, networking, and software applications that are being used within the networking system.  They support the OTC mission by:

  • Acting as the primary customer support point of contact for software and hardware problem resolution, providing telephone support and responding to user’s email and web requests
  • Troubleshooting user’s problems, determining probable source of malfunctions
  • Accurately entering user data and problem descriptions into online system, resolving problems via remote control software, or verbal instruction, or routing problems to next level support
  • Coordinating problem resolution with users and other support staff as necessary, following up to ensure that customers are satisfied with the resolution
  • Completing software installations as required via Change Order taskings
  • Configuring government issued iPhones, as required, via Change Order taskings, and providing government issued iPhone support
  • Creating CAC cards via in-office RAPIDS station and resetting CAC PINs for users, as needed
  • Providing testing and evaluation of new or updated software applications, as required
  • Perform other duties as required, which may include:
  • Accomplishing assigned tasks in closely related fields
  • Responding to changes in work schedules
  • Participating in formal, on-the-job, and cross-training

Computer Technician I

Position Description:

The Computer Technician I supports the OTC mission by:

  • Applying technical knowledge and training to solve routine and complex problems in the maintenance of digital computers, configuration and peripheral components
  • Performing Tier I and Tier 2 deskside incident resolution of workstations, printers and peripheral devices
  • Monitoring and responding to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware including printers and software testing tools and techniques
  • Ensuring proper computer system setup/operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks
  • Receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests
  • Maintaining knowledge of diagnostic and help desk request tracking tools, as well as remote and in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level
  • Under direct supervision, assisting with network hardware, servers and software installation, troubleshooting and support
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participating in special projects as required
  • Assisting with Asset Management and Inventory of IT assets

Administrative Specialist III

Position Title: Administrative Specialist III

Position Description:

The Administrative Specialist III supports company operations by maintaining office systems and records. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the preparation and generation of all contract related documents ensuring compliance with both contract and company policies.
  • Serves as the Contract Site HR Representative with responsibility for the following areas: Employee Relations, salary administration, personnel actions.
  • Conducts complex financial studies and reviews operating budget pertaining to Task/Event related activities. Prepares recommendations to Senior Managers and Government officials to counter overruns.
  • Conducts complex financial studies and analysis pertaining to out year forecasts utilizing present and past cost information. Provides recommendations to Senior Managers and Government officials to assist in the operations of the contract.
  • Monitors all contract funding and related issues ensuring appropriate actions are implemented to negate overruns.
  • Oversees the preparation and submission of CDRL reports.
  • Creates weekly and monthly manpower reports.
  • Oversees the preparation of travel costs to include travel preparation.
  • Oversees the preparation of overtime costs to include cost estimates.
  • Serves as liaison between Contracting Officer’s Representative and Government budget officials and senior managers in the areas of HR, Contract Administration, Finance and Accounting, Security.
  • Supervises all recruiting activity.
  • Provides recommendation for recruitment, selection, retention, termination or reassignment of personnel to Senior Managers.
  • Assist Facility Security Officer in the Implementation of Security Program.
  • Review and approve timecards and expense reports for employees.
  • Must be able to work independently but also directly with senior leadership.

Required Experience:

  • Two (2) years’ experience and must be certified as able to type at a rate of at least 40 words per minute. Certificate of proficiency shall have been issued by a teacher of typing in a public or parochial high school, an accredited education institution, or an official of a state employment office.
  • Secret security clearance.

Technical Writer III

Warehouse Specialist

LOCATION:    Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

SCOPE:  Serve as a Warehouse Specialist on a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at the Aberdeen Test Center (ATC).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create new Standard Operating Procedures manuals for inventory control and physical security.
  • Assess organization and section training needs.
  • Manage work schedules for employees supporting the units using the warehouse.
  • Responsible for the storage, maintenance, and accountability of repair parts and equipment assigned to the warehouse.
  • Ensure equipment received from units is complete and that proper documentation is submitted for unserviceable or missing equipment.

Information Assurance Security Specialist

SCOPE:  Serve as an Information Assurance / Security Specialist on a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at the Aberdeen Test Center (ATC).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
  • Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program.
  • Provide support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program, or enclave.
  • Provide support to ISSMs for implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Develop and update the system security plan and other IA documentation.
  • Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-today security operations of the system.

IT Project Manager

SCOPE:  Serves as the onsite Project Manager providing leadership and managerial oversight of a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at the Operational Test Command (OTC), Fort Hood, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Working leader providing daily supervision of IT technical staff at the OTC. Responsible for program tasking, scheduling, operational performance, and staff supervision.  Responsible for defining staffing requirements and evaluating and selecting candidates. Schedules and monitors work operations on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to project team as required. Establishes, executes and manages programmatic performance goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Voice Data Communications Engineer

LOCATION:    Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

SCOPE:  Serve as a Voice/Data Communications Engineer on a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at the Aberdeen Test Center (ATC).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as part of a team supporting 40+ VTC/SVTC systems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Setup, operation, troubleshoot issues & maintain video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment. Knowledge of audio and video equipment including microphones, connecting wires and cables, sound speakers and related electronic equipment for internal rehearsals & retirement ceremonies.
  • Responds and follows-up on customer support problems & troubleshooting of VTC equipment issues.
  • Provide administrative support to include coordination, scheduling and maintaining Microsoft calendars for VTC/SVTC’s.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree and 3 years experience; Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience; or 3 years experience and 2 years specialized training; or 5 years experience.
  • Must possess DISA DVS Level II Certification or equivalent certification
